Experience
Robin C. Martindale, a partner with Paskerian, Block, Martindale & Brinton LLP, specializes in land use and entitlement matters, with a particular emphasis upon issues related to project planning, permitting and regulatory and administrative compliance. Mr. Martindale’s experience covers a broad range of projects, plans and programs located throughout California, Arizona and other western jurisdictions. From securing local zoning privileges (e.g., conditional use permits) to facilitating the approval and implementation of large-scale master planned communities, Mr. Martindale has managed and/or participated in numerous matters for several different individuals and entities. Mr. Martindale regularly provides professional services involving the following issues and subjects:
• Compliance with State and Federal Environmental Laws and Regulations (e.g., California Environmental Quality Act [“CEQA”]) • Project Water Supply Requirements (pursuant to California SB 610 and SB 221)
• Negotiation and Preparation of Development Agreements and Related Instruments
• Consultation and Negotiation with Local, State and Federal Agencies Relative to Project/Permit Approval, Monitoring and Compliance
• Resolution of Property Owner Disputes Stemming from Existing and/or Future Conflicting Uses
In addition to land use and entitlement matters, Mr. Martindale’s areas of practice include general real estate transactions (e.g., purchase and sale, lease, and joint use agreements), easements and licenses, telecommunications, due diligence evaluations, land trusts and preservation of property rights.
